As an important note, if you’re in Orlando and are not a gay man PLEASE consider scheduling a blood donation later in the week or next week, as blood banks are at capacity now due to a flood of people wanting to help. Most gay men cannot donate because US rules for blood donation require gay men to be celibate for a full year. Bullshit rule, but yet another way in which allies can help. More here and here.
