Solstice tarot pull

Well. This was unexpected.

Two tarot cards. The top left is the Trickster card from the Wild Messengers deck, showing a Raven in flight with what looks like nebulas in its wings. The bottom right is the Two of Wands card from the Entanglement Tarot, showing a pinkish-red weave of threads in which is tangled two wands, a globe, a compass of the drafting tool kind, and what looks like a metal dog tag with a triangle on it.

Soooo I love doing tarot card pulls not because I think there’s something supernatural about them, but because our brains are GREAT at symbolism, and sometimes prompting oneself with cards (or other oracular elements) is a wonderful way to view ourselves & our lives with a bit less bias.

These cards tell me I’m indulging in a bit of creative self-sabotage, and I need a decent plan moving forward for the next year so I don’t undermine myself, my writing, or the world.

.

In case anyone is curious about the decks: Wild Messenger tarot was a Kickstarter I backed, and it seems out of print. The cosmic animal art is by artist Tanya Casteel and the guidebook is written by Lola Pickett. The Entanglement Tarot, by Sarah McMenomy, can be purchased here.
