When we saw that it had snowed elsewhere on the Gulf Coast, we jumped out of bed despite the frigid temperatures and squeed when we saw the snowdust.

Buffalo Bayou has lots of birds. Mostly grackles, but there are quite a few waterbirds. This one tree often has 3-5 black-crowned night-herons hanging out. They’re suspicious of my interest in them. ;)
